 SSSTS – Site Supervisor’s Safety Training Scheme Course
Our Site supervisor safety training scheme – SSSTS course is CITB accredited and delivered by our in-house qualified and experienced course instructors.
This two day health and safety course is designed for individuals working as supervisors in the building, civil engineering and construction industries and for those individuals about to take up those responsibilities.
 CITB Accreditation
The SSSTS course is accredited by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and recognised by BUILDUK as meeting the required standard for all supervisors and team leaders working on BUILDUK sites.
On successful completion of this course you will recieve a certificate from the CITB that will be valid for 5 years. In order to remain certified however, you will need to retake the course before the certificate expiry date.
 SSSTS Course Detail
The course will provide you with an understanding of health and safety law and how it applies to construction site supervisors. It identifies your supervisory responsibilities in controlling a site safely through effective risk assessements, site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings. You will also learn about the monitoring of construction site activities in an effective manner and the importance of timely interventions to prevent incidents.

The course is an ideal lead in for delegates who will go on to attend the 5-day site managers SMSTS Training course at a later stage of their career development.

The course covers all relevant legislation and other aspects which affect safe working in the building, construction and civil engineering industries. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of the necessary control measures, and adequate communication to sustain a health and safety culture among the workforce.

To help site supervisors to:
Supervise health and safety on site in accordance with current legal provisions and within the context of their role
Develop an understanding of responsibility and accountability for site health, safety and welfare of workers on site
Recognise that a safe site is efficient, economical, productive and environmentally friendly.
